About Us

Everyone can and needs to create. Everyone needs love. We provide opportunities for persons, especially persons with special needs, to create in community.

Our Purpose

Who we are, what we believe in, our vision for the future and who we serve.

Our Mission

A Spacious Place provides soul nurture through creativity.

The act of creating has potential to promote self-worth, to heighten self-awareness, and to connect a human creator with Something Great and Good. Creating a supportive community extends the individual's sense of worth to include the equal worth of others.

Our Inspiration

What is creativity, wonder, and truth? We provide a spacious place where through creative exploration and expression, you can explore the truth of your soul. Our hopes for you are drawn from Psalm 66:12, which encapsulates our wish for you: “We went through fire and through water; yet you have brought us out to a spacious place.” NRSV

Our Vision

Providing a range of services, we make a tangible difference in the lives of those who need it most. However, our vision doesn’t stop at our local boundaries. Through digital connectivity, we see a future where our impact resonates on a global scale. Our goal is to leverage online platforms to extend our services, creating a worldwide community that benefits from our initiatives. In doing so, we aim to create a safe space that encompasses persons across Central Texas and around the globe.

Who We Serve

Everyone can—and needs to—create: everyone needs love. We provide opportunities for persons, especially persons with special needs, to create in community. At present, our primary mission is concentrated in Central Texas, where we dedicate ourselves to uplifting and supporting vulnerable communities.
