Frequent Questions

Have you ever had a question and didn’t know where to find the answer? If so, you’ve come to the right place.

This section is a compilation of answers to the questions most commonly asked by our constituents. Just start by following one of the links below. If you can’t find the question you wanted to ask, don’t hesitate to contact us.

  1. What does your organization do?

Everyone can and needs to create. Everyone needs love. We provide opportunities for persons, especially persons with special needs, to create in community.

  2. How can I get involved?

We need volunteers from those who prep materials in their homes, to persons who work directly with our participants. We rely on donations, both supplies and money.

  3. If I were to donate funds, how is my money used?

Over 90% of our donations go to supplies for our programs, the rest go to office supplies and transportation. We make our IRS Form 990 available for review, as required by law.

  4. What is your organization's privacy policy?

Our organization takes our privacy policy seriously and takes steps to protect and ensure the safety of our supporters. We do not sell or otherwise disclose information about our volunteers or supporters outside of our immediate organization. This policy has no exceptions. We do not sell or exchange your information with any other organizations, public, private or nonprofit. For more detailed information visit our Privacy Policy page.

  5. What if I'm not creative?

You are. We are children of the Great Creators and it's in our DNA! Your creativity may express itself in the clothing you choose, in how you plate a meal, in what music sings your name, or in doodles on a scrap of paper.

We will help you find a creative expression that feeds you soul--and invite you to do the same for others!

  6. What do you mean by "spirituality center?"

At A Spacious Place, we believe that creating helps people explore and express their own truth and connect with a cosmic, capital-L Love in their own unique and valid way. We do not believe there is one “right way” to take this journey; rather, we value and support each person’s own path. Ultimately, we are committed to a love that embraces, supports, and advocates for others; a love that is lively and creative; a love that not only bears questioning, but encourages it; a love that pursues justice and equity for all. At A Spacious Place we do not force our beliefs on others, rather, we are committed to serving and creating out of the knowledge that Love is Love is Love is Love.
